“ Our first visit to this business. The walleye breakfast was very good. Waitstaff did not come around for coffee refill until we were ready to leave so didn't get second cup. Place was clean including the rest rooms. ”

“ I wasn't even hungry, and I tried the Walleye breakfast because why the hell not? I really want breakfast sausage, but it's Lake of the Woods, lets spend a few extra $$$ and get the walleye. I ate all of it. Best walleye I've had in my life, no cap. Had acid reflux for the rest of the day, but it was worth it. Not only will I go to Joe's Place again, but I'll demand that everyone get the walleye breakfast. My father bristled when I said it was the best walleye I've had in my life. He is a walleye fisherman and was a chef at a fine dining restaurant in his 20s so he has a lot of misplaced pride in thinking that he's good, but the truth is he downs a pint of vodka by the time the food is ready... I didn't know grilled chicken could be moist, delicious, and not black until I was 20 when someone else grilled some up for me. Eggs were done as I asked. Hashbrown proportions were just right, like Perkins and a special shout out to the waitress who gave me my bill on the early side. I appreciate that. Got places to go and things to do on a week day. Not to knock on the "atmosphere" but it's just not cozy. It just doesn't have that breakfast diner feel. It's "hollow" in there. Not sure what you can do about it, just keep making great food, but the "feeling" was 'off' the moment I stepped in the door. Blah blah blah, effing amazing walleye breakfast. Can't wait to feel hungry again. ”
